Working faster

The copy button duplicates a shift within the week, which is the quickest way to build repeating patterns. Once a week looks right, most schedules are small edits to the previous one rather than rebuilt from scratch.

Scheduled hours also power the schedule-variance report, which compares what was planned against what was actually punched. That comparison is useful for spotting chronic over- or under-staffing.
