Pick how strict each site should be
Some sites only want the record. Some want a manager to see a flag when a punch happens from the parking lot across town. A few need the punch refused unless the employee is inside the fence. All three are a site setting, so a job site can be strict while the office is not.
Honest about what it records
9forty5 records the location of a punch, and only at the moment of the punch. It never tracks an employee between punches. The employee sees when a site requires location and what it will be used for, which is what most state privacy rules expect and what keeps the feature from becoming a grievance.
